Ada Bearden

Ada Bearden, age 84, of Ashley, MI, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center, Alma, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI, at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 17, 2021, with Pastor Mona Kindel officiating.  Burial will take place at Hamilton Township Cemetery, Gratiot County, MI.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 2-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Ada was born in Pruden, KY on March 25, 1937, the daughter of Joseph and Alma Partin.  Ada married Harlan Bearden on February 21, 1956. Harlan passed away on April 9, 1998.

Ada enjoyed flowers, gardening and cooking. She liked spending time in nature, hunting and fishing.  She never met a stranger and welcomed anyone into her home.  Most importantly she loved time spent with her family.

She is survived by her children: Alma Martin and John Moravic, Harlan and Mary Bearden Jr., Saundra Schmitz and Kenneth Knox, Melinda Bearden, Sherry Mills and Rod Marek, Donna Marek and Dan Geiersbach, Angela Bearden and David Adams, and Jennifer Bearden.  She is also survived by many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her grandchildren: Daniel, Christopher, Corey, Amanda, and Samantha.
