Ada Marie Dennis, age 94, of Corunna, MI died Friday, September 28, 2012 at Memorial Healthcare, Owosso, MI.
A Memorial Service will be held at Corunna United Methodist Church, Corunna, MI on Tuesday, October 2, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. David R. Strobe officiating.
Ada Marie was born in New Athens, Ohio on March 9, 1918, the daughter of William Henderson and Grace Greenwood (Hainline) Love. Ada Marie married Raymond Edward Dennis on July 22, 1943 and he preceded her in death on July 30, 1992 after 49 years of marriage.
Ada Marie retired from Corunna Public Schools after 42 years of service where she taught kindergarten, band and vocal music. She was a member of Corunna United Methodist Church and sang in the choir. Ada Marie loved music and her time on Maui, Hawaii was her second heaven.
She is survived by her 3 children; Phil (Mary) Dennis of Engadine, MI, Mark (Terry) Dennis of Tucson, AZ and Denah (Robert) Burnham of Springfield, VA, 8 grandchildren; Kevin (Marybeth) Dennis of Engadine, MI, Christopher Dennis of Cibolo, TX, Meghan (Marvin) Hardy of Grand Ledge, MI, Kaitlin (Jim) McGinn of Portland, OR, Parker Dennis of Marquette, MI, Stuart (Alicia) Burnham of Waipahu, HI, Kyle (Alison) Burnham of Ashburn, VA, Jonathan Burnham of the Marshall Islands and 9 great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and her husband, Ada Marie was preceded in death by sister, Ruth Love and 3 brothers; Jacob, Willis and Robert Love.
