Adah Ruehle

Adah Jean Ruehle age 92 of Alma, MI, passed away Sunday, April 15, 2018, at Mid-Michigan Medical Center - Gratiot, Alma, MI surrounded by her children and grandchildren.

A Private Family Gathering will be held.

Adah was born in Richland, MI on January 2, 1926, the daughter of Wilbur Francis and Verna Rae (Burke) Doolittle.  She was a graduate of Richland High School and later became a Licensed Practical Nurse.  Adah married Romaine Ruehle on September 26, 1944; Romaine passed away in December of 2007. Adah resided most of her life at their family home.

Adah loved to quilt and made quilts for everyone in her family.  She loved to spend time outdoors, garden and caring for her lawn.  Adah cherished her 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and a great-great-granddaughter.  She will always be remembered as a hard worker and keeping busy.  Her flower gardens were dear to her and she was always willing to share her flowers.  She was talented in many different crafts.  Adah was a member of the Eastern Star.

She is survived by her daughter Brenda and DeWayne Marcy of Sumner, MI; daughter Bonnie and Tim Gustavison of Sumner, MI; son Brion and Diana Ruehle of Alma, MI; 8 grandchildren: Kerri Anne (Josh) Yelsik, Jason (Mandy) Marcy, Brent Marcy, Timothy Gustavison Jr., Kecia Gustavison, Joshua (Melissa) Gustavison, Cortney Ruehle, and Teela Ruehle; 13 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter.  Adah was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Brent Ruehle, and brother Wilbur Doolittle II.
