Adelia (Mrs. George) Besko, 88, formerly of Flint, passed away early Saturday morning, November 26, 2005 at Masonic Pathways in Alma, Michigan.
Funeral service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Home, Elsie, MI Chapel Tuesday, November 29th at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Oelhafen officiating. Interment Maple Grove Cemetery, Ovid, Michigan. Visitation will be held Monday, November 28, 2005 from 2 until 8 p.m. and Tuesday, from 11 a.m. until the service hour.
Mrs. Besko, was born August 21, 1917 in Owosso, Michigan the daughter of Elizabeth and Thomas Hosking. She married George Besko July 27, 1940 in Detroit.
Although Adelia spent much of her life as a homemaker, she was always caring for others. She enjoyed her home, her family, gardening, canning, baking, cooking. Member of the Metropolitan Club of Detroit, Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary Mt. Morris Township and the Order of Eastern Star.
Surviving are her loving husband of 65 years, George; son, George and wife, Barbara, Montrose; daughter, Dianne Walton and husband, Jack; Owosso; 7 grandchildren, Tamara (Jamie) Fehrenback, Gracie (Jerry) Avery, LeAnn (Troy) Napier, Melisa Besko, George, Jr. (Jennifer) Besko, Kenda (Chris Reed) Watson and Tonya (Scott Aschenbrenner) Besko, Steve (Kathy) Walton, Denise (Ralph) Rueda, Todd (Jennifer) Walton and Scott Walton; 13 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Cody, Brooke, Spencer, Skyler, Seth, Rebecca, Carson, Michael, Gillian, Jake, Allivia and Logan; a sister, Pat (Hubert) Sills, Elsie; in-laws, Irene Hosking, Henry and Donna Besko, Mary and John Srnec, and Mickie Besko; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Al, Jim and Bill Hosking; brothers-in-law, John Besko, Mike Besko and Jim Besko and Ted Thornton; sisters-in-law, Roseanna Besko, Anna Mae Thornton and Betty Besko.
