Alberta Grover

Alberta Rae Grover age 75, of St. Louis, MI, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at MediLodge of Mt. Pleasant, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis, MI on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 11:00 AM, with Pastor George Showers officiating.  Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, MI.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 4 - 8 PM. at the funeral home.

Alberta was born in St. Louis, MI on April 10, 1942 the daughter of Lloyd and Marvel (Tenney) Gotham.  She attended St. Louis Public Schools.  On September 25, 1971, Alberta married Bruce Grover at the St. Louis Church of God.  Prior to the birth of their children, she worked at Wolverine Manufacturing.  Alberta loved her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She enjoyed camping up at Houghton Lake.  Alberta loved to collect porcelain dolls and make crafts.

Alberta is survived by her husband Bruce of St. Louis, children: Teresa Martin of Ithaca, Tony (Crystal) Grover of Florida, Dan (Heather) Grover of St. Louis, Jason (Ginger) Grover of Saginaw, Jessica (Jason) Hess of Texas, and Devon Grover of St. Louis.  She is also survived by 9 grandchildren: Brandon, Bodie, Tanya, Lissa, Veronica, Hannah, Dakota, Chase, and Claire; 2 great grandchildren, sister Margaret Roslund and many nieces and nephews.  Alberta was preceded in death by her parents, sister Annette Smith, brother Lomar Gotham, and infant brother Duane Gotham.
