Alberta L. Kosht age 92 of St. Johns, Michigan died Thursday, December 6, 2007 at Sparrow Health Systems, Lansing, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel St. Johns, MI on Tuesday, December 11, 2007 at 1:00 PM. Pastor Charles Kruger will officiate with burial at Maple Grove Cemetery Ovid, MI. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 9, 2007 and Monday, December 10, 2007 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.

Alberta was born in St. Johns, Michigan on April 25, 1915 the daughter of Albert J. and Lillian M. ( Warner ) Thompson. She resided most of her life in St. Johns area. Alberta married Lloyd Myers in 1934. He died in 1970. She then married Bill Kosht in 1971. He died in 1988. She was a homemaker. She also worked as a nurses aid, and at Federal Mogul. Alberta enjoyed bowling, and making baby blankets. She sent out hundreds of get well cards and letters to shut in's and people around the world that she would here about in need. She had a good heart.

She is survived by 3 daughters; Joyce & Maynard Failing of Carson City, MI, Mary Gallagher of St. Johns, MI, Barbara & Gary Werner of Ovid, MI, 1 son Gary & Joanne Myers of Owosso, MI, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren, 4 sisters; May Speidel of St. Johns, MI, Margaret Garrison of Ohio, Marion Louise Stewart of Muskegon, MI, Betty Joan Tyler of Oregon, 6 brothers; Rev. Charles Thompson of Croswell, MI, Ward "Bud" & Kay Thompson of Lansing, MI, Florien Thompson of Mississippi, Leon & Gladys Thompson of Alaska, Walter Thompson of Portland, MI, and David Bruce & Mary Thompson of Great Falls, MT. She is predeceased by her parents, 2 husbands, 2 children; Donna Ruechert & Richard Myers and granddaughter Brenda Thomas.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donora�(TM)s choice. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Johns Chapel.
