Aleatha P. Kostal, age 86, of Ashley, MI died Wednesday, October 8, 2008 at Carson City Hospital, Carson City, Michigan.

A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI on Saturday, October 18, 2008 at 11:00 am, Mr. Thomas Bradley will officiate. There will be no visitation
Aleatha was born in Corunna, Michigan on February 9, 1922, the daughter of Lee and Beatrice (Stilson) Stewart. She married Karel Charlie Kostal and he predeceased her. Aleatha lived in the Ashley area most of her life and was a homemaker who enjoyed reading, cooking and her grandchildren.

She is survived by daughter Donna and Roland Merignac of Ashley, Michigan, 3 sons; Jim and Marge Kostal of Ashley, Michigan, Glen and Leah Kostal of St. Louis, Michigan, Lanny and Crystal Kostal of Indianapolis, Indiana, 24 grandchildren, 53 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, 1 sister Doris and John Marshall of Beulah, Michigan, 1 brother Norman and Janette Stewart of Beulah, Michigan, 2 sisters-in-law; Jean Kostal of Merrill, Michigan, and Debby Kostal of Alabama. She was preceded by her parents, husband, 3 sons; K.C., A.C., Karel Lee (Jumper), and 1 grandchild.
