Aletha Flegel

Aletha F. Flegel, age 92, of Elsie, MI passed away Monday,
July 25, 2011 at Ovid Healthcare Center, Ovid, Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held at Duplain Church of Christ, St. Johns, MI on Friday, July 29, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Elsie, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2011 from 6-8 P.M. and on Thursday, July 28, 2011 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, Michigan. Mr. Chuck Emmert will officiate.
Aletha was born in Gratiot County, Michigan on February 14, 1919, the daughter of Jesse and Lottie (Weaver) Moomey. On August 31, 1940 Aletha married Lyle Flegel in Lansing, Michigan. Lyle preceded her on February 18, 2008. Aletha resided most of her life in Gratiot County and Elsie, Michigan. She was a homemaker and a member of Duplain Church of Christ St. Johns, MI. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, baking sugar cookies, doing word puzzles and also crocheting.
She is survived by her daughter Cheryl and Wayne Sutliff of Henderson, MI, 5 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, son Dennis, 2 sisters, Dorothy, Eleanor and 3 brothers; Bob, Dale, and Garold.
Memorials may be made to Duplain Church of Christ building fund.
