Alfred Alva Harris

     Alfred Alva Harris, age 96, of Bath, MI, passed away Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Hazel I. Findlay Country Manor, St. Johns.
      A Celebration of his life will be held at Victor Township Hall, 6843 Alward Road, Laingsburg, MI, on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 1:00 P.M. with Jonathon Spagnuolo.
     Alfred was born in Weidman, MI on October 10, 1928, the son of Tiney Alfred and Lula (Jackson) Harris. Alfred graduated from Haslett High School with the class of 1947. He married Beverly Ann Olger on August of 1949; they had 75 years together, 5 children, many grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
     Alfred retired from Motor Wheel in 1993 after 46 years. He was a professional "tinkerer" in his garage or outdoors. He loved the outdoors, birthday bonfires and decorating for the holidays. His family was most important to him and he loved spending time with them. He was part of the Civil Air Patrol during WWII and was very patriotic.
     He is survived by his wife Beverly Harris, daughters: Kathy Willson of Perry, MI; daughter Pamela Watson of Bath, MI; daughter Kristi Harris of Bath, MI; Patricia and Jim Spagnuolo of Bath, MI; and daughter-in-law Vicki Harris of St. Johns, MI. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren: Sherry (Kirk) Wurm, William (Corissa) Harris, Shannon (Erik) Bonga, Bradley (Mallorie) Harris, Beverly (Tim) Blair, Fred (Darci) Willson, Ashleigh (Kris) Sysak, Matthew (Dani) Spagnuolo, Jonathon (Danielle) Spagnuolo, and William Spagnuolo; many great-grandchildren, and a few great- great grandchildren. Alfred was preceded in death by his parents, beloved son William A. Harris, son-in-law James Willson, grandson Michael Watson, great grandson Nicholas Lester and 4 brothers: Cleveland, Norman, Ronald, and Larue.
