Alice Mae Graham age 79 of Elwell formerly of Vestaburg, Michigan died Sunday, June 5, 2005 at Gratiot Medical Center, Alma, Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held at First Baptist Church in Vestaburg, Michigan on Wednesday, June 8, 2005 at 1:00 P.M. Pastor Mark Roossinck will officiate with burial at Richland Township Cemetery, Vestaburg, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Tuesday June 7, 2005 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
Alice was born on October 7, 1925 in Vestaburg, MI the daughter of Clarence C. & Rilla Mae ( Guthrie ) Borton. She resided most of her life in Vestaburg, Michigan and graduated from Edmore High School with the class of 1943. Alice married Kenneth F. Graham in Vestaburg, Michigan on June 19, 1943, Kenneth predeceased her on July 2, 1996. She retired from Gratiot Community Hospital Housekeeping Department in 1997, after 19 years of service. She loved her family and collecting lighthouses. In the past she & Ken enjoyed living on the farm, watching deer & drinking coffee. They also loved to fish and visit with family & friends. She was a NASCAR fan and was fan of the driver, Jo Nemecheck. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Vestaburg, Michigan.
She is survived by 6 children; Judy & John Parrish of Harrison, MI, Allen & Janet Graham of Tecumseh, MI, Dennis & Peggy Graham of McBride, MI, Phillip & Louise Graham of Vestaburg, MI, Jack & Sandra Graham of Kansas City, MO, Lanny & Teresa Graham of Edmore, MI, 16 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, 2 sisters; Frances Claflin of Stanton, MI, Dorothy Crosby of Vestaburg, MI, and 1 brother Dale & Gloria Borton of Zephyrhills, FL. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, a son Garry B. Graham on November 14, 1969, a granddaughter Corinna Bremer on May 24, 1995, 2 brothers Willis Borton, Harold Borton, and 1 sister Rosemary Fisher.
