Alicia Trevino

Alicia "Alice" Trevino, age 81, of Bannister, MI died Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Ingham County Medical Care Facility, Okemos, Michigan after a courageous struggle with Alzheimer's disease.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Cyril's Catholic Church Bannister, Michigan on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 10:00 A.M., Rev. Fr. Wolfgang Streichardt and Rev. Fr. Max Frego will officiate. Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery and visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2009 from 2-8 pm. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel. A Rosary will be prayed on Friday evening at 7:00 P.M.

Alice was born in Laredo, Texas on May 24, 1927, the daughter of Pedro and Nicholasa (Alanzo) Hernandez. On June 30, 1943 she married Reynaldo "Ray" Trevino in Laredo, Texas; Ray predeceased her on April 24, 1991. Alice was a homemaker and former housekeeper for Fr. Max Frego in Bannister & Ithaca, Michigan. She enjoyed gardening & sewing and her grandchildren. She resided most of her life in the Bannister area, and was a member of St. Cyril's Catholic Church and the Altar Society.

She is survived by her 3 daughters; Betty and Juan Trevino of Laredo, Texas, Linda and Freddie Flores of Laredo, Texas, and Amanda Nixon of Lansing, Michigan, 2 sons; Ray and Nancy Trevino of St. Johns, Michigan, Rick and Jill Trevino of Bath, Michigan, 16 grandchildren and # great grandchildren
She was predeceased by her parents, husband, 1 grandson Freddie Flores.
