Alma Woodbury

Alma Woodbury, 86, passed away May 30, 2011. Born November 16, 1924 in Fowler, the daughter of Vincent and Emma (Schafer) Bozung. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the St. Mary's Guild Altar Society. Alma married Gerald C. Woodbury on September 6, 1947 and he survives her.

Also surviving are her daughters, Ellen (Chuck) Perry of St. Johns, Janeen (William) Linak of North Carolina, Patricia (Darrell) Beck of St. Johns and Christine (Jeff) Pioszak of Williamston, her sons, Mark (Teresita) Woodbury of St. Johns and Eric (Cindy) Woodbury of North Carolina, her grandchildren, Melissa Mesh, Brandon Mesh, Rachelle Smith, Rebecca Beachler, Cassandra Herrick, Marites Woodbury, Maggie Linak, Scott Linak, Drew Beck, Timothy Beck, Hannah Woodbury, Christian Woodbury, Spencer Pioszak and Connor Pioszak. Also surviving her is her sister, Ambra Hadden of Lake, Michigan. Along with her parents, Alma was preceded in death by her infant son, Jeffrey, sisters, Julitta Draper and Marie Hollis, and brothers, Allen, Albert and James Bozung.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am, Thursday, June 2, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in St. Johns, burial at Mt. Rest Cemetery with The Rev. Fr. Eoin Murphy officiating. The family will receive friends 6 to 8 pm Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Wednesday with a rosary prayed at 7 pm on Wednesday. Memorials may be made to Eaton Community Hospice House.
