Alonzo Hunt

Alonzo Ira Hunt, age 89, of Elwell, Michigan died Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Masonic Pathways, in Alma, Michigan.

Per his request there will be no services.

Ira was born in Sumner, Michigan on November 28, 1921, the son of Harry Clifford and Elsie Mae (Halliwell) Hunt. He served in the US Army during WW2. In March of 1942 he married Ruth E. Rockafellow, she died in 1976, and then on June 30, 1977 he married Lillian Wiser in Carson City, Michigan.

Ira resided most of his life in Gratiot County and had worked as a milk man for Alma Dairy for 20 years. He enjoyed making furniture, crafts, and playing cards.

Survivors include his wife, Lillian Hunt of Elwell, MI, 2 sons; Glenn and Judy Hunt of Lake Isabella, MI, Don and Alice Hunt of Delton, MI, daughter Kay and Robert Wight of Maple Rapids, MI, 9 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, first wife, 1 son Wayne, 2 sisters, and 2 brothers.
