Amy Delay

     Amy Yvonne Delay, age 57, of Chesaning, MI, passed away Thursday, March 10, 2022, at her home with her family by her side.

     A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022, at the Church of the Living Word at 2 P.M.

   Amy was born in Flint, MI on November 25, 1964, the daughter of Eugene and Joyce (Demorest) Slavik.  She graduated from Lake Fenton High School with the class of 1984.

    Amy loved her family and cherished her time of being a caregiver for her granddaughter. She enjoyed spending time rejoicing in God's Word with her Bible Study friends. Amy enjoyed time outside taking walks, fishing, watching butterflies, and just being in the sunshine. She loved helping children in any way possible. She was involved in Flint and Ovid-Elsie Public Schools. She also liked going to the Owosso Speedway.

     Amy is survived by her daughter Ashley (fiancé Jonathan Ross) Cooper of Perry, granddaughter Chloe Cooper, life partner Doug Phillips, sister Cheryl (Clifford) Block, nephew Eastin Block, niece Sydney Block, and niece Lindsey Chapman.  She was preceded in death by her mother Joyce (Carl) Scharf, father Eugene Slavik, and sister Debra Chapman Cooper.
