Andy Hubbard

Andrew F. Hubbard age 85 of Alma, Michigan died Thursday, October 12, 2006 at Wilcox Health Care Center Alma, MI.

Private Funeral Services will be held. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Monday, October 16, 2006 from 6-8 P.M.

Andy was born in Elm Hall, Michigan on December 21, 1920 the son of Roy and Leta ( Elliott ) Hubbard. He was a lifelong resident of Alma, Michigan and graduated from Alma High School with the class of 1938. Andy married Ruth Church in 1946, she died in 1985. He then married Virginia Morey on May 18, 1990. He retired from Gratiot County Department of Human Services, and was a lifelong farmer. Andy was also a caretaker for Lumberjack Park. Andrew was a member of the VFW Alma Post, and the Elks Lodge #1400 in Alma.
He is survived by his wife Virginia Hubbard of Alma, MI, daughter Candy & John Meyers of Sumner, MI, son Randy & Mary Hubbard of Riverdale, MI, and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, first wife, 1 granddaughter, and 1 brother.
Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
