Ann Hamilton

Ann Marie Hamilton age 84 of East Lansing, formerly of Owosso, MI died Sunday, October 21, 2007 at Burcham Hill Health Care, East Lansing, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at 11:00 AM. Pastor LaDonna Stewart will officiate with burial at Sunset Hills Cemetery Flint, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 24, 2007, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Ann was born in Placentia, Newfoundland on October 14, 1923 the daughter of Ambrose and Priscilla ( Conway ) Bishop. She resided most of her life in Flint, Grand Blanc and Owosso and attended Placentia, New Foundland Schools. Ann married Thomas L. Hamilton on March 17, 1944 in St. Johns, Newfoundland. Ann worked as a Chief Operator for Bell Telephone retiring after 25 years of service. Ann was a member of the Pioneers Club in connection with Bell Telephone.

She is survived by her son Thomas and Elizabeth Hamilton of Atlanta, GA, daughter Susan and Ronald Driskill of Owosso, MI, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, beloved sister Tilley Vokey of Cambridge, Ontario, and 2 nieces. She is predeceased by parents, husband, and sister, Lena Street.

Memorials may be made to Baby Pantry at the First Baptist Church in Owosso. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso, Michigan.
