Ann Lydia Nations, age 83, of Ovid, Michigan went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Ovid Healthcare Center.
A Memorial Service will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel, Elsie, MI on Friday, June 29, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Tony Ferriell of Hartland Hospice officiating.
Ann was born in Saginaw, Michigan on August 13, 1928, the daughter of Jacob and Anna (Kruse) Brethauer. She resided in Owosso, Alabama, California and Las Vegas, moving back to Ovid in 2006. Ann collected Fenton Glass Baskets. She enjoyed entertaining and cooking German foods. Ann also enjoyed playing cards with her sisters.
She is survived by her daughter Vicki and Russell Heckman of Ovid, MI, grandchildren; Brian, Heather, Jeremy, Nonee, and Chelsey, great grandchildren; Ashlee, Danielle, Madyson, Alexah, Jordan, and Amelia, sister Lorraine Brown, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, son Donald, daughter Linda, 5 sisters; Amelia, Mary, Molly, Catherine, and Caroline, and 3 brothers; John, Carl and Jacob.
