Ann Remenar

Ann Mary Remenar age 95, of Bannister, MI, passed away Tuesday, July 4, 2017, at Hospice House of Shiawassee County, Owosso, MI.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Bannister, MI, on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 11:00 A.M., with Rev. Fr. Bill Gruden officiating.  Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery Gratiot County, MI.  Visitation will be held on Friday, July 7, 2017 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie, MI.  Rosary will be prayed at 7:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.

Ann was born in Gary, IN on April 3, 1922 the daughter of John and Agnes (Biskupic) Vojvodich. On January 27, 1940 Ann married Julius John Remenar in St. Cyril's Catholic Church, Bannister, MI, Julius died on December 23, 1999.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, gardening and loved to travel to Croatia. She was a member of St. Cyril's Catholic Church Bannister, MI.

She is survived by 3 daughters; Agnes and Malcolm Smith of Bannister, MI, Annie Mikulka of Bannister, MI, Rosemary and Bruce Thelen of St. Johns, MI, 3 sons; Frank Remenar of Hartland, MI, Julius P. and Margaret Remenar of Bannister, MI, David Remenar of Bannister, MI, 19 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson.  She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, 3 grandchildren; Mark, Douglas, Carol, one daughter in law Jane, 1 sister Mildred, and 1 brother Phillip.
