Anna B. Sanchez, age 96, of St. Louis, MI died Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at Schnepp Health Care Center in St. Louis, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel on Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. Mr. Keith Wise will officiate. Burial will take place at East Plains Cemetery, Pewamo, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2011 from 12:00 - 1:00 PM. at the funeral home.
Anna was born in Midland County, Michigan on May 22, 1914, the daughter of George Washington and Helen Mae (Sawvel) Root. She was married to Johnny Sanchez on September 28, 1937 in Ionia County, MI. He passed away September 25, 1971.
She is survived by her 2 sons; George Hewitt of Mecosta, MI, Charles and Isabelle Hewitt of Elyria, OH, 2 foster daughters; Greta Aspenwall of Midland, MI, Yvonne Arlene Austin of Lyons, MI, grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister Beaulah Roux-Chaspell of St. Charles, MI, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Johnny, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers.
