Anna Smalley

Anna "Granny" Smalley, age 95, of Morrice, Michigan passed away Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Olive Branch Assisted Living, Perry, Michigan.

A Private Graveside Service will be held at a later date.

Anna was born in Flint, Michigan on October 18, 1915, the daughter of Albert and Frances (Shada) Lacina. She married Frank Smalley on October 14, 1944 in Owosso. He passed away on August 5, 1998. She resided most of her life in the Owosso area.

Anna retired from Redman's of Owosso after 39 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and swimming in their family pool. Anna also enjoyed spending time up north and taking long walks. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Owosso.

She is survived by daughter Margaret and Dan Siminski of Morrice, MI, 4 grandchildren; Jodi Rau, Shelley & Jim Cox, Casey & Ryan Stahr and Daniel & Rachel Siminski, 7 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and 2 sisters; Blanche and Alice. Anna was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 brothers; Albert, Robert, John and 5 sisters; Mary, Frances, Sophie, Agnes, and Helen.
