Annabelle Davis

Annabelle Davis, age 93, of Ashley, MI passed away Sunday, February 14, 2016 at Sparrow Hospital, Lansing, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Ithaca, MI on Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at 2:00 P.M.  Burial will take place at North Star Cemetery, North Star, MI.  Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.

Annabelle was born in Lafayette Township, Michigan on October 18, 1922, the daughter of William A. and Doris (Londry) Wenzel.  She graduated from Alma High School and resided most of her life in Ashley, MI.  Annabelle married Leo Davis on December 22, 1940 in Lafayette Township, MI.  He passed away June 1, 1982.

Annabelle was an avid softball player in her teen years, playing at Wenzel Ball Park.  Being with her family brought her much joy and she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Annabelle loved to quilt with her neighbor Martha.

She is survived by her son Ken and Jan Davis of Ashley, MI, daughter Judy and Harold Milett of Mason, MI, son Ron and Janet Davis of Ithaca, MI, son Gilbert and Sheryl Davis of Ashley, MI, 9 grandchildren; Dave and Kristal Davis of Ithaca, MI, Scott and Joanne Davis of Marshall, MI, Joseph and Jennifer Milett of Brown City, MI, Patrick and Miranda Milett of Lake Isabella, MI, Todd and Kelli Davis of Grand Ledge, MI, Leisa and Tom Lamey of Ithaca, MI, Matt and Michele Davis of Caledonia, MI, Wayne Davis & Katie Stelzer of Moran, MI, Kelly and Jason Becker of Wheeler, MI, and 19 great-grandchildren.  Annabelle was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Marion Cassady, and 3 brothers; Junior, Mark and Thomas Wenzel.
