Annabelle Turner, age 93, of Corunna formerly of Owosso, MI passed away Sunday, January 22, 2012 at Shiawassee County Medical Care Facility, Corunna, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Kenneth Herbruck will officiate. Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery, Vernon, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday January 24, 2012 from 2-8 PM with family present 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
Annabelle was born in Vernon Township, Michigan on January 25, 1918, the daughter of Jay B. and Elsie F. (Snyder) Dowell. She was a graduate of Owosso High School and resided most of her life in Owosso.
Annabelle married Stanley Turner on November 23, 1935. Stanley passed away in July of 1973. She attended Owosso Assembly of God Church and was a member of AARP.
Annabelle is survived by her son Bill and Sue Turner of Gladwin, MI, daughter Carol Saunders of Owosso, MI, son Dick Turner of Owosso, MI, 5 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and several nieces & nephews. Annabelle was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Denny Turner, 2 brothers: Fred and Frank Dowell and 3 sisters; Edith Martin, Mable Bruff and Georgia Howay.
