Anthony George Nelson age 69 of Laingsburg, Michigan died Monday, September 20, 2004 at Pine River Healthcare Center in St.Louis, MI.

Anthony was born on September 18, 1935 in LaCrosse, WI the son of John L. and Fern (Schultz) Nelson
Tony was a 1953 graduate of Pillsbury Military Academy in Owatonna, MN and a 1957 graduate of the University of Wisconsin. He was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He married Meridith (Smith) Nelson. Tony retired from the State of Michigan FIA office in Lansing in June 1997. He was an endowment member of the National Rifle Association, an avid fisherman, and a loving husband and father.
He is survived by his wife Meridith Nelson of Laingsburg, MI, son Michael (Lynn) Nelson of Jacksonville, FL, daughter Linda (Chris) Thelen of Okemos, MI, step mother Emma Nelson of Middleton, WI, step son Damon Argersinger of St. Johns, MI. He was predeceased by his mother Fern Johns and his father John L. Nelson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Capital Area Humane Society. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, 117 North East Street, St.Louis, MI 48880
