April Lyn Feighner

     April Lyn Feighner, age 57, of St. Johns, MI, formerly of Carson City, MI, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Lansing, Lansing, MI. 
     A Celebration of April's life will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes – Osgood Chapel, St. Johns, MI, from 1-3 P.M. on Tuesday, February 18, 2025.
     April was born in Cadillac, Michigan on November 23, 1967, the daughter of James and Alta O'Brien. She graduated from Carson City-Crystal Schools. 
     April loved gardening and spent many hours cross-stitching, reading books, and listening to audio books. She has shared her love of reading with many people. She was a collector of fairies and gnomes. She liked thrifting and always looked forward to finding new treasures. She enjoyed meeting new people at her work.
     After raising her four daughters of whom she was very proud, she had a second chance to be a mom to the twin daughters her and Keith raised. She was proud of all they have achieved. April's greatest joy in life was being a mom, grandma, and great-grandma.
      She is survived by her husband Keith Feighner, six daughters: Tosha Williams, Rita (Brian) Haughton, Romae Harvey, Vasilisa Toth, McKenzie Feighner, and Jessalyn Feighner; nine grandchildren, and two great- grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Alta and James O'Brien, and daughter Shanda Toth.
