Ardith Brewer

Ardith E. Brewer age 78 of Corunna, was called home by her Lord early Sunday morning. Private family services will be held on Wednesday. There will be a public memorial service Wednesday evening at 7:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church of Corunna on Legion road. The Rev. Burton Jones and Rev. David McGarvey will officiate. Burial is to be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
Ardith was born on December 27, 1924 to Nelson and Erma Snyder. She and James M. Brewer were married in Lennon, Michigan on March 6, 1943. Her husband, James preceded her in death August 20, 1960.
She had four children; Nelda (Jerry)Foss, Frances Valdez (preceded her in death December 27, 1994), Linda G. Brewer and Thomas (Linda L. ) Brewer
Ardith cherished her ten grandchildren, Julie (Dan) Tillema, Scott (Lynn) Foss, Kerry (Joel) Arundel, Jamie (Rob) Welch, Christina (Don) Uhlenkott, Hector (Manny) Valdez, Todd (Rebecca) Brewer, Ann (Don) Swope, James (Jimmy) Brewer (preceded her in death January 3, 1989) and Lori Brewer.
She adored and treasured her eight Great Grandchildren, Danny, Shelby, and Braden Tillema; Zachary Welch; Tyler Reynolds and Nicholas Swope; Brock and Kylee Brewer. Ardith was anticipating the birth of her ninth great-grandchild in March 2004.
Ardith has one brother, Wes (Wanda) Snyder and sisters-in-law, Mary Ayers and Opal Brewer, Special friends, Joyce Korf and The Larry Little family and several nieces and nephews.
Ardith resided with her daughter, Linda G. Brewer. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Corunna. She lived all her life for her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as many that adopted her as Grandma or Ma.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shiawassee County Health Department WIC program, or The Baby Pantry or First Baptist Church of Corunna to be used for children.
The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Corunna Chapel.
