Arlene Wilma Cole, age 87, of St. Louis, MI passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014 in Alma, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI, on Wednesday, February 19, 2014 at 11:00 A.M., with Jut Daron officiating. Burial will take place at Emerson Township Cemetery, Gratiot County, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 18, 2014 from 4-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes St. Louis, MI.

Arlene was born in St. Louis, MI on March 19, 1926, the daughter of Lester William and Bessie Myrtle (McJilton) Bailor. Arlene married Kenneth Wayne Cole on February 19, 1944; he passed away on February 3, 2000 after 55 years of marriage. Arlene worked as an Office Manager for Powell's Plumbing and Heating for over 30 years. She was a proud member of the St. Louis Church of Christ, St. Louis, MI, Mid-Michigan Lace Makers and the Max Carey Blacksmith Guild. Arlene enjoyed gardening, reading, games and spending time with her family.

She is survived by 2 sons; Ivan Cole and Susan Cunningham of Chelsea, MI, Brent and Jane Cole of St. Louis, MI, daughter Elaine and Dan Hahn of Alma, MI, daughter-in-law Tammy Cole of White Cloud, MI, 10 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren, and 2 sisters; Leona Quidort of St. Louis and Helen Gortney of East Sparta, OH. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son Wayne Kenneth Cole, 2 infant grandchildren; Leslie and William Cole and brother Merle Bailor.
