Arlene Hoag

Arlene Mae Hoag, age 88, of Owosso, MI passed away Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the home of her son.

A Memorial Service will be held at Community Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Owosso, MI, on Monday, August 1, 2011 at 7:00 PM, Pastor Don Galardi will officiate.

Arlene was born in Owosso, Michigan on June 27, 1923, the daughter of Charles and Anna Belle (Austin) O'Connor. She resided most of her life in Owosso. Arlene married Ronald D. Hoag on August 1, 1941 in Owosso. He passed away on April 4, 2008.

Arlene retired from Owosso Public Schools in December of 1986 after 10 years working as a cook. She enjoyed reading. Spending time with her family brought her much joy. Arlene attended Community Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Owosso.

Arlene is survived by her son David and Helen Hoag of Owosso, MI, daughter Linda and Bob Hill of Lansing, MI, daughter-in-law Terry Hoag of Alpena, MI, 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, special niece Patricia Gordon & her nephews. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son John Hoag, a grandson, and brother Clarence "Clink" O'Connor.
