Arlene Telfer

Arlene Beatrix Telfer, age 90, of Owosso, MI passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Oliver Woods Retirement Village.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. Rev. Don Galardi will officiate. Burial will follow at West Haven Cemetery, New Haven Township, MI. Visitation will be held on Monday December 20, 2010 from 12-3 & 4-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
Arlene was born in New Haven Township, Michigan on September 19, 1920, the daughter of Edward and Luzina (Linzey) Schautz. She resided all of her life in the Owosso area.
Arlene married Kenneth Telfer on May 1, 1943 in New Haven Township. Kenneth passed away on December 1, 1983. Arlene was very active in her church, Community Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Owosso, serving as Treasurer for 30 years. She also volunteered her time at the Durand Convalescent Home.
She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law Larry and Sally Telfer of Whitmore Lake, MI. Arlene is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Arlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brother Laverne Schautz.
