Arthur D.Chant

Arthur “Art” D. Chant, died December 6, 2009 at the age of 82. He was born on March 5, 1927, in St. Johns, the son of Albert and Gladys (LaBar) Chant. He was a member of VFW Post #4113 in St. Johns. Art married Hilda Johnson on April 23, 1948, and she survives him.

Also surviving are daughters, Gail (Mike) Wierman and Julie Gordon, son, Eric Chant, grandchildren, Troy Wierman, Stacy Cataline, Jessica Kenyon, Angela Swanchara and Kenny Swanchara and brother, Donald (Wreatha) Chant, also dear friends, Greta and Jim Sali. He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant twin daughter to Gail and two sisters, Maragaret Harlow and June Mitchell.

Private Services will be held at a later date. Contributions in Art’s memory may be made to the VFW Post #4113 in St. Johns. The family is being served by Osgood Funeral Homes.
