Arthur Lover

Arthur Raymond Lover, age 83, of Ovid, Michigan formerly of Elsie died Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at Ovid Healthcare Center.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI on Friday, September 11, 2009 at 11:00 A.M., Pastor Scott Seelhoff will officiate, and burial will take place at Ford Cemetery, Gratiot County, MI. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2009 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.

Arthur was born in Gratiot County, Michigan on September 15, 1925, the son of Eugene and Nellie (Blount) Lover. He served his country in WW II in the U.S. Navy and in 1945 Art married Lorraine Janueneswske in Fenmore, Michigan, Lorraine died in November of 1992. Art was a mechanic and had retired from St. Johns Ford Mercury after 20 years of service. He was life member of D.A.V.

Survivors include his daughter Nellie and Paul Cox of Saranac, MI, 3 sisters; Betty Lover of Bannister, MI, Barbara Hammond of Owosso, MI, and Margarette Rodriguez of Ovid, MI, 2 brothers; Raymond Lover of Bannister, MI, and Charlie Lover of Sturgis, MI. He was predeceased by his wife, and 2 sons; Richard & Arthur.
