Ashley "Buck" E. Malone, age 79, of Owosso, MI passed away Friday, December 18, 2009 at the Cartwright Center in Saginaw, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Corunna Chapel Corunna, MI on Monday, December 21, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 20, 2009 from 2-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Corunna Chapel Corunna, MI.
Buck was born in Saginaw, Michigan on June 19, 1930, the son of Ira and Thelma (Stafford) Malone. Buck attended Saginaw High School. Buck married Carol Joyce Walworth on May 5, 1951 in Chesaning. She passed away on February 17, 1977. He then married Margaret "Molly" Fish on October 6, 1978 in Saginaw. Buck owned and operated Buck's Antenna Service for 20 years before he sold it in 1968. He then owned and operated Buck's Sports Center in Saginaw until 1978. Buck then bought the Fast Way Food Shopper in Saginaw and ran the business until his retirement in 1996. He enjoyed boating, hunting, racing stock cars, snowmobiling, and motorcycling. Buck also enjoyed playing a good game of euchre. He resided most of his life in the Saginaw and Owosso area.
He is survived by his wife Margaret "Molly" Malone, 4 children; Susan Kipfmiller of Midland, MI, Peggy and Stanley Whittaker of Owosso, MI, Debra and Dennis Simonetti of Alabama, Michael and Darlene Malone of Grandville, MI, 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Buck was predeceased by his parents, wife Carol, and 2 sisters Shirley Kochanowski and Barbara Ellis.
