Barbara Pilot

Barbara Jean Pilot, age 80, of Bannister, MI died Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Carson City Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Elsie Chapel, on Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at 11:00 A.M., Mr. Thomas Bradley will officiate. Burial will take place at Ford Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 20, 2009 from 2-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel.

Barbara was born in Ovid, Michigan on May 30, 1928, the daughter of Myron and Bernice (Spegiel) Dutcher. Barbara married Ralph Pilot in Ovid, Michigan on February 24, 1945. Ralph died on September 22, 1997. Barbara was a homemaker and resided most of her life in Bannister. She enjoyed making baby blankets for friends and neighbors, enjoyed farming and raising her chickens. Barbara was a very generous and kind person.

She is survived by 1 daughter Lynne and Carl Strnad of Bannister, 1 son Ronald and Nancy Pilot of Bannister, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, 2 sisters; Betty & Christine, 1 brother Raymond & Delores Dutcher, and sister in law Nancy Fouts. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, 1 sister Trudy, & 1 brother Wayne.
