Barbara Wood, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away suddenly on May 2, 2007 at St. Marya�(TM)s Hospital in Saginaw.

Barbara was born on June 24, 1937 in Kentucky. She married Robert H. Wood on May 24, 1974 in Ithaca. She spent many years working as an LPN at Saginaw Osteopathic and Carson City Hospitals. She retired in October, 2005. Barbara enjoyed doing crafts, doll collecting, cooking and family get-togethers.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Robert, of St. Louis, three daughters; Patricia (Kirt) Austin of Charlotte, Laurie Frank of Hollywood, FL, and Penny Peaney of Sarasota, FL; two sons; Robert (Rhonda) Peaney of St. Louis, and James (Karen) Peaney of Lansing; one brother, Richard (Marcella) Morris of Polk City, FL; eight grandchildren; Aa�(TM)me McGill-Austin, Kris (Bree) McGill, Brandon Peaney, Chris (Lisa) Austin, Claire (Jared) Peterson, Elise Peaney, and Justin and Tyler Frank, and three great grandchildren; Jeremy Burns, and Zarien and Atticus McGill. She is also survived by her beloved dogs, Chico and Pepea�(TM). She was preceded in death by her parents, Wheeler Cayce and Iva Pearl Morris, and son Michael.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or The Lymphoma Foundation. Cards and letters of condolence may be sent to Robert Wood, 1449 W. Adams Road, St. Louis, MI 48880.

Barbara will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
