Beatrice Mary Hess age 93 of Owosso, Michigan died Monday, February 25, 2008 at Chesaning Nursing Care Center, Chesaning, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Friday, February 29, 2008 at 2:00 PM. Pastor Ed Lawrence will officiate with burial at Oak Hill Cemetery Owosso, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 29, 2008, from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service at 2:00 p.m.

Mary was born in Tragen, Chile, South America on May 16, 1914 the daughter of Albert and Annie C. ( Gilbert ) Dunstall. She resided in Owosso since 1995, moving here from Midland. She graduated from high school in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, and attended Nyac Bible Institute for three years. Mary married Robert Hess on August 3, 1940 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. He passed away on December 9, 2003. Mary was a homemaker and a ministers wife. She was her husband's help-mate as they served in eleven churches across the country. Family was very important to Mary and she was a wonderful friend to many. She was a wonderful baker and loved to sew. Mary was a member of First Baptist Church of Auburn.

She is survived by her daughter Sherryl & Patrick Sherman of Owosso, MI, 3 wonderful grandchildren; Robert Saettler & Dr. Brenda Ellens of Mason, MI & Brighton, MI, Elizabeth Sherman of Clarkston, Matthew Sherman & Stephanie Steinbach of Chicago, beloved cat Whiskers, special friends; Ron & Janice Green, April Green, JoAnne Telfer, and special granddaughter Katie Green. She is predeceased by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, and 2 sisters.

Memorials may be made to Chesaning Nursing Home or Shiawassee County Humane Society. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, Jennings-Lyons Chapel, Owosso, MI.
