Beatrice Jelinek

Beatrice Jelinek died November 16, 2008 at the age of 81. She was born August 21, 1927 in Mt. Morris, Michigan, the daughter of Orville and Pearl (Fairchild) Hunt. She worked as a factory worker at Woodards in Owosso. Beatrice married Joseph Jelinek on March 9, 1946 and he preceded her in death on October 31, 1989.

Surviving are her children, Joette (Donald) Dennis of Ovid, Janet Daniels of Elsie and Anthony (Carrie) Jelinek of Charlevoix, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, brother Harry (Ellie) Hunt and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Joseph, she was preceded in death by her parents, son, Joe Eddie Jelinek and three brothers.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Friday, November 21, 2008 at Holy Family Catholic Church in Ovid, with Rev. Fr. Raymond Urbanek officiating, burial at Middlebury Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 Wednesday and Thursday at the Houghton Chapel of Osgood Funeral Homes, 232 E. Oak St., Ovid, Michigan, with a rosary being prayed Thursday at 7:00 pm.
