Beatrice F. "Bea" Ross age 79 of St. Louis, Michigan died Tuesday, February 15, 2005 at Schnepp Healthcare Center, St. Louis, Michigan.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, February 18, 2005 at 11:00 A.M. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Alma, Michigan. Pastor John Eich will officiate with burial at Oak Grove Cemetery, St. Louis, Michigan. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 16, 2005 6-8 P.M. & Thursday, February 17, 2005 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
Bea was born in St. Louis, Michigan on August 19, 1925 the daughter of Clare & Laura Bell ( Humphrey ) Oswald. She graduated from St. Louis High School with the class of 1942. Beatrice married Gerald "Jerry" Ross in St. Louis, Michigan on June 3, 1943. She was a lifelong resident of St. Louis, Michigan. She was a homemaker. Bea was very active in attending her class reunions, knitting, sewing, crocheting, canning, and traveling. Bea was a very generous person, always tending to the needs of others. She also loved flower gardening and watching birds. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Alma, Michigan as well as a past 4-H Leader, 4-H Leader Council, and a member of the Zion Lutheran Ladies Aide Group.
Bea is survived by her husband Gerald Ross of St. Louis, MI, 6 children Kathleen & James Johnson of St. Louis, MI, Gerald & Betty Ross Jr. of Burr Oak, MI, Robert & Caroline Sue Ross of St. Louis, MI, Laura Lee & Bruce Harrier of St. Louis, MI, Thomas & Vickie Ross of St. Louis, MI, Tracy & Carla Ross of St. Louis, MI, 23 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, sister Geneva Dionise of Mt. Pleasant, MI, brother Robin & Marion Thurlow of Delaware, brother James & Carolyn Oswald of Holland, MI, sister Janet & Stan Hornec of Lake Leelanaw, MI, sister-in-law Arlene Shaver of New York. She is predeceased by her parents, 1 step-brother LeRoy Shaver, & 3 grandchildren; Angela, Daniel & Andrew Ross.
Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Diabetes Association, or a Charity of onea�(TM)s choice. The family is being served by Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis Chapel.
