Beatrice Story

Beatrice Bernette Story, age 88, of Saginaw, passed away February 10, 2018 at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Center of Saginaw.

According to Bernette's wishes, a cremation has taken place and no services will be held.

Bernette was born in Merrill, MI, on January 3, 1930, the youngest of 5 daughters of Perl and Catherine (McCormick) Bow.   She graduated from Sacred Heart High School, Merrill, MI with the class of 1947.  She resided most of her life in the Union Lake, MI area.   June 5, 1950, Bernette married Ivan Story in Rudyard, MI.  They celebrated their 60th anniversary before his passing on February 16, 2011.  Together Bernette and Ivan raised 5 daughters and 2 sons.

Bernette is survived by her children:  Sue (Ron) Ostrander of Breckenridge, Jim Story of Indian River, Sandra (Rick) Schmaltz of White Lake, Jane (Mark) Story of Cheboygan, Gail (Tim) O'Neil of White Lake, Debra (Kurt) Banas of  White Lake, and Steven (Lisa) Story of Breckenridge; 9 Grandchildren and  3 Great Grandsons, and sister Matilda Randall. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ivan, 3 sisters:  Agnes Corbat, Lorraine Dungey, and Cecilia Bigelow.
