Berma Jean Seelhoff, age 87, of Ovid, Michigan passed away Monday, February 23, 2015 at her home, surrounded by her family.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie, MI on Friday, February 27, 2015 at 2:00 P.M., with her son, Pastor Scott Seelhoff officiating. Burial will take place at Middlebury Township Cemetery, Ovid, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2015 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. and from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service on Friday at the funeral home.

Berma was born in Ovid, Michigan on April 20, 1927, the daughter of Glen and Pearl (Bailey) Lowe. On February 17, 1947 Berma married Norman Seelhoff, in Ovid, Michigan; he passed away on December 7, 2004. She owned Berma's Beauty Shop in Ovid, Michigan; she also worked for Chrysler Corporation, in Lyons, Michigan. Berma resided most of her life in Ovid and had a cabin in Harrison, Michigan. She enjoyed crocheting, and reading. She loved dogs, especially Foxy, the Pomeranian that her husband bought her as a surprise gift. She attended SonShine Church Ovid, Michigan.

She is survived by daughter Dixie and Christopher Nethaway of Ovid, MI, son Scott and Debbie Seelhoff of Ovid, MI, daughter Darla and Joseph Ladiski of Elsie, MI, 8 grandchildren; Kelley Jo and Bob Nixon, Norman Nethaway, Bobby and Shawn Seelhoff, Kimberly and Paul English, Nathan Seelhoff, Amber and Tim Ladiski, Autumn and Beau Schneider, Adam and Stephanie Nethaway, 13 great grandchildren; Austin, Heath, Heather, Holly, Desiree, Abigail, Mason, Megan, Emily, Micah, Katelyn, Evan, and Nicholas, 3 great great grandchildren; MJ, Kainen, and Mary Jane, She is also survived by her grand-dog, Savanna. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving stepfather, Roy Hettinger who entered her life when she was 10 years old, husband, grandson Scotty Seelhoff, great granddaughter Victoria English, sister Myrtle Young and brother George Lowe.
