Bernice L. Munson, age 77, of Ithaca, Michigan passed away Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at the Masonic Pathways, Alma, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Ithaca, MI on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at 11:00 A.M., with Mr. Keith Wise officiating. Burial will take place at North Star Cemetery, North Star, MI. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 25, 2013 from 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Bernice was born in Ithaca, Michigan on February 26, 1935, the daughter of Oliver G. and Julia (Davis) Biddinger. She graduated with the class of 1953 from Ithaca High School and resided all of her life in Ithaca. On November 12, 1955 Bernice married Marvin Munson at the Edgewood Church of God. Marvin died on August 5, 2004. Bernice was a LPN at Gratiot Community Hospital, and then worked at Walmart in Mt. Pleasant and Alma. She enjoyed playing bingo, and knitting. She enjoyed collecting pig nic-naks and stuffed pigs and she loved her pony Susie, and their cart.
She is survived by 2 sons; Michael and Brenda Munson of St. Louis, MI, and Eric and Amy Munson of Brownstown, MI, 5 grandchildren; Kindra, Clayton, Emma, Jack, and Sam, and 1 brother Richard and Faye Biddinger of Ithaca, MI. She was predeceased by her parents, husband Marvin, and sister Donna Mae Biddinger.
