Bernice Wealthy Rose, age 86, of Owosso, MI passed away Sunday, April 5, 2009 at Sparrow Health Systems, Lansing, MI.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 1:00 P.M., Rev. Mark Kincaid will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Owosso, MI. Visitation will be held on Tuesday April 7, 2009 from 6-8 PM. at the Funeral Home.
Bernice was born in Dansville, Michigan on February 4, 1923, the daughter of Levi D. and Roberta E.J. (Mulholland) Rouse. She was a graduate of Morrice High School. Bernice resided in Owosso since 1941, previously living in Morrice. Bernice married Francis H. Rose on July 8, 1947 in Angola, IN. He passed away on February 25, 2003. Bernice was the owner of Rose Pure Water. Bernice was a volunteer for March of Dimes & Easter Seals also President of the West Branch School PTO, Cub Scout Den Mother for 2 years.
She is survived by her daughter Sandra Ruddell of Owosso, MI, son Timothy and Marianne Rose of Fate, Texas, 6 grandchildren; Carrie, Adam, Tiffany, Jonas, Michael & Paul, several great-grandchildren, and brother L. Dale and Linda Rouse of E. Lansing, MI. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Francis and a son Larry Rose.
