Bertha Marie Davidson, age 91, of Alma, MI passed away with her family at her side Sunday, December 7, 2008 at Masonic Pathways in Alma, MI.

Funeral Services will be held at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church Alma, MI on Thursday, December 11, 2008 at 11:00 A.M., with her Grandson Pastor Dennis Strong officiating. Burial will take place at Oak Grove Cemetery St. Louis, MI. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 10, 2008 from 2-8 PM. at Smith Family Funeral Homes in St. Louis and also on Thursday, December 11, 2008 one hour prior to services at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Begole Rd. in Alma, MI.

Bertha was born in Holton, Michigan on July 30, 1917, the daughter of Andrew and Marie (Stubo) Olson. She graduated from Holton High School, class of 1934. Bertha and George J. Davidson were married on March 21, 1936. She & George actively farmed for many years. She was a member of FIA/DHS, MADD, Farm Bureau, and Pine River Twp. Committees, and several other community organizations. She was an active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.

She is survived by her husband George Davidson of Alma, daughter Gladys and Maynard Strong of Remus, MI, son Earl and Rebecca Davidson of Alma, MI, son Lawrence and Virginia Davidson of St. Louis, MI, daughter Louise and William Courter of Alma, MI, son Jacob and Kimberly Davidson of St. Louis, MI, son Clarence Davidson of Alma, MI, daughter Esther Morris of DeWitt, MI, 24 grandchildren, 56 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Ole Olson, and son-in-law Homer Morris. Family request donations to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
