Bethel Webb

Bethel Gladys Webb, age 94, of Wheeler, MI, passed away Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at her home.

Funeral Services will be held at Edgewood Church of God, Ithaca, MI on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 10:00 A.M., with Pastor Rick Webb and Pastor Rex Webb officiating.  Burial will take place at Lafayette Township Cemetery, Lafayette Township, MI. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 12, 2018 from 2:00-5:00 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes, St. Louis, MI.

Bethel was born in Coe, MI on June 3, 1924, the daughter of James Lee and Clarice G. (Vining) Leonard.  Bethel married Cullen Arnold Webb on March 29, 1947, in Coe Township, MI. They spent 62 years together before his passing on October 8, 2009.

Bethel enjoyed flowers and birds. She also enjoyed baking and cooking and was known for her great sense of humor. She loved the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was a member of Rathbone Methodist Church. Bethel always supported St. Jude's Children's Hospital and Smile Train, an organization that provides cleft surgeries for children.

She is survived by daughter Jean and Greg Gordon of Inver Grove Heights, MN; 3 sons: Cullen and Karen Webb of Wheeler, MI; Rex and Carol Webb of Perrinton, MI; Rick and Linda Webb of Wheeler, MI; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Cullen, 5 sisters and 2 brothers.
