Betty Marie Ackels

     Betty Marie Ackels, age 95, of Ovid, MI, passed away Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Ovid Healthcare Center, Ovid, MI.
     Cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time. Burial will take place at North Star Cemetery, North Star, MI.
     Betty was born in Lansing, Michigan on March 9, 1929, the daughter of Alfred and Edith (Rauschenberger) Toman - Young. She retired from General Motors and was a homemaker. Betty was married to Richard Ackels, and he passed away on November 21, 2000.
     She is survived by her 2 sons: Richard Ackels, and Ryan and Mary Jo Ackels. She is also survived by and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents, her husband Richard, one son Craig, her daughter Linda, and her siblings: Al, Robert, and Dorothy.
