Betty Blemaster

Betty Lou Blemaster age 89 of St. Johns, MI, passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at her home.

No service will be held at this time.  Burial will take place at South Bingham Township Cemetery, St. Johns, MI.

Betty was born in St. Johns, MI on December 4, 1927 the daughter of Arthur and Helen (Hunt) Salters.  Betty married Nelson Joseph "N.J." Blemaster on July 19, 1947 in Maple Rapids, MI.  He passed away on January 5, 2004.  She resided most of her life in DeWitt and St. Johns.  Betty loved to mow her lawn.  She was an avid pet lover and loved her dog and cats. She enjoyed playing cards, painting pottery and being a grandma. She is our beloved mom, grandma, great grandma and great great grandma. She took great care of all of her children.

She is survived by her daughter Judy Coffin of St. Johns. MI, grandchildren; Angie DeMars and Bill Andrews of Ionia, MI, Janet Blemaster and Jeremy Spores, Ben Coffin Jr. of St. Johns, MI, great-grandchildren; Angie Andrews and Seth Newcomb of Gaylord, MI, Makala Andrews of Ionia, MI, Johnathon White, of Ionia, MI, great-great-grandchildren; Aries & Wyatt Newcomb of Gaylord, MI, and brother Leon and Linda Salters of Six Lakes, MI.  Betty is also survived by long time friend Larry Box of Holt, MI and many nieces and nephews.  Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son Jim Blemaster, 2 sisters; Lena Hertzburg and Marguerite Halstead, and 5 brothers; Bob, Clare, Stuart, Lawrence and Donald Salters and her good friend Leona Box.
