Betty Lydia Holcomb

     Betty Lydia Holcomb, age 94, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Monday, March 10, 2025, at her home.
     A cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial will take place at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns, MI.
     Betty was born in Albee Twp, Saginaw County, MI on April 20, 1930, the daughter of John and Mary (Dabremesel) Bolf. She was one of fifteen children. On June 12, 1948, Betty married Buddy Bruce Holcomb in Laingsburg, Michigan. They were married fifty-one years prior to his passing on July 8, 1999.
     Betty was a nurses’ aide at Clinton Memorial Hospital for about 20 years. She then was a caregiver for a young boy named Wade in Florida for many years. She was a kind little lady that loved other people.
     She is survived by two sons: Buddy (Vicky) Holcomb, and Victor "Pete" (Marcia) Holcomb; daughter-in-law Chris Holcomb, seven grandchildren: Travis, Trina, April, Amber, Adam, Megan, and Benjamin; seven great grandchildren, two sisters: Delores Dankert, and Mary Elbe; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Buddy, son Bruce Holcomb, and brothers: John, Paul, Joe, Frank, and Louis Bolf, and sisters: Elizabeth Engler, Eleanor Czieszperger, Eva McNeill, Katie Hornak, JoAnn Humpula, Annie Swartzmiller, and Rosie.
