Betty Redmond

Betty Louise Redmond, age 75, of Owosso, MI died Saturday, May 19th, 2012.

Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI on Wednesday, May 23rd at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Ray A. Strawser II officiating. Burial at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Owosso, MI.

Visitation will be held Monday 6-8 P.M. and on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 2-8 P.M. with family present from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes Jennings-Lyons Chapel Owosso, MI. .

Betty was born in Owosso, Michigan on September 5, 1936, the daughter of Floyd H. and June (Barnes) Koerner.

She married Elwood B. "Woody" Redmond on March 28, 1953 in Angola, Indiana

Betty was an active member of Burton Community United Methodist Church sharing her strong faith in God with others.

She loved singing and spending time camping at Rose Lake near Cadillac.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Elwood "Woody" Redmond of Owosso, MI; daughter, Luann Redmond and Paula Cornell of Alger, MI; two sons, James Redmond of Bath, MI and Don and Kendra Redmond of Oakley, MI; six grandchildren, Scott, Natasha, Kassandra, Donald, Alex and Jacob, five great grandchildren, her father, Floyd Koerner of Owosso, MI; brother, Gilbert and Jan Koerner of Berkley, MI; and two stepsisters, Deedee and Bob Gould of Owosso, MI and Pat Salazar of Lansing, MI.

She was preceded in death by her mother, June Koerner, a son, Ervin "Bud" Redmond, a daughter, Norma Jean Redmond, a brother Donald Koerner and two stepsisters, Barb Winslow and Chris Fairchild.

Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
