Beverly Montfort

Beverly I. Montfort, age 87, of Ovid, Michigan died Thursday, January 17, 2013 at East Pasco Care Center, Dade City, Florida.

A Memorial Service will be held at the Shepardsville United Methodist Church, Ovid, MI on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 11:00 A.M, with Pastor Judy Hazel officiating.

Beverly was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 12, 1925, the daughter of Joseph and Lucy I. (Horn) Hughes. She graduated from East Commerce High School in Detroit with the class of 1943. On July 19, 1946 she married Joseph Thomas in Detroit, Michigan; Joseph died on February 16, 1993. On August 21, 1994 she married Rick Montfort; Rick predeceased her on December 31, 2002. She was a bookkeeper and payroll clerk for many years before moving to Ovid in 1977, and was a member of the Eagles Retirees club in Owosso, Michigan.

She is survived by her cousin Sandra and Burt Case of Ovid, MI, step son William (Martha) Montfort, step daughter Michele (Kevin) King, and 4 step grandchildren. Also surviving her is her cousin Geraldine Geiger of Ovid, MI & many other cousins. She was predeceased by her parents, and her 2 husbands.
