Billie "Ma" McCarrick

Billie "Ma" McCarrick age 71, of Beaverton, MI.  Billie joined the love of her life Don in heaven on November 1, 2017.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 2-8 P.M. at Smith Family Funeral Homes - Houghton Chapel, Ovid, MI.  Funeral Services will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home.  Burial will take place at Maple Grove Cemetery, Ovid, MI.

Billie was born in Anniston, AL on October 10, 1946, the daughter of Herbert Lee and Jessie Mae (Johnson) Hicks.  Billie married Donald McCarrick on January 20, 1971 in Warren, MI.  Donald passed away on August 5, 2017. Billie resided most of her life in Warren and Beaverton.

Billie loved to spend time with her family.  She enjoyed playing euchre and going to the casino.  Billie volunteered her time at the Mission in Gladwin.  She was a member of the Gladwin Eagles.

She is survived by her daughter Beth "Ziggy" Lawrence of Irondale, AL, son Donald "Butch" McCarrick of Warren, MI, daughter Shelby and Leo Good-Bergamo of Macomb, MI, son Burley and Diane Good of Swartz Creek, MI, son Donald "Scott" McCarrick of Beaverton, MI, son Steven Donald McCarrick of Las Vegas, NV, son Benjamin McCarrick of Swartz Creek, MI, daughter Julie Gardner of Ferndale, MI, son Steve McCarrick of Hazel Park, MI, 26 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren.  Billie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 grandchildren, sister Orene, and her brothers; James, Ralph, Jack, Huggie, Buddy, and Tommy.
