Billy Dean May

     Billy Dean May, age 83, of St. Johns, MI, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at his home.
     A cremation has taken place and a memorial service will take place at a later date. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Elsie, MI.
     Billy was born in Ogemaw County, Michigan on November 19, 1940, the son of William Curtis and Vera Belle (Cooley) May. He attended Ithaca High School. Billy proudly served his country in the U.S. Army 1961-1964. On May 6, 1983 Billy married Constance Panoff Guerrero in Ithaca, Michigan. They were married thirty years prior to her death on January 7, 2014.
     Billy loved his family and was a great dad and papa. He adored his dog Smoke; she was his faithful companion and liked her trips to town to get food. Billy enjoyed riding his motorcycle, and watching TV. He was able to fix anything.
     He is survived by three step-children: Angela Smith, Theresa Guerrero, and Fred (Lynette) Guerrero; daughter Toni May, four grandchildren: Theresa (Mark) Tessman, Kori (Charles Andrews) Smith, Jacob Wale, and Misty (Ryan) Spegal; great-grandson Mark Jr., several other great-grandchildren, stepbrother Ed (Lorie) Cooley and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Shirley, second wife Connie, son Bill May, and siblings: Ina Jean (John) Carvalho, Joyce Marie (Donald) Stambersky, Donald (Caroline) May, and Diane Tester.
