Bina Marie Oberlin age 84 of Bannister, Michigan went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 7, 2006 at Covenant Healthcare Saginaw, MI after a brief illness.
Funeral Services will be held at Smith Family Funeral Homes, Elsie Chapel Elsie, MI on Monday, September 11, 2006 at 11:00 AM. Pastor John will officiate with burial at Riverside Cemetery Elsie, Michigan. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 10, 2006 from 2-4 & 6-8 P.M.
Bina was born in Brant, Michigan on December 11, 1921 the daughter of Arthur Fletcher and Ora Thompson. She resided most of her life in Bannister area since 1973. and attended St. Charles Schools graduated from . Bina married Jack Oberlin on July 7, 1973 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a homemaker, and she enjoyed many clubs, and social activities like the Elba Sunshine Club. She was faithful in community service such as Meals on Wheels and the Crop Walk. She and Jack enjoyed music, dancing, and gardening together. Her Bannister United Methodist Church family was also a big part of her life. Bina faithfully served the Lord there thru United Methodist Women, Elba Sunday School, Choir, and she served on the Administration Board.
She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Jack Oberlin of Bannister, MI, 2 daughters; LaWanda Klonowski of Saginaw, MI, Charlotte & Ron McGaw of Saginaw, MI, 1 son Jerald & Judy Vincent of Hemlock, MI, 1 stepdaughter Janet Oberlin of Flint, MI, 7 grandchildren 3 sisters; Rebecca Hollenbeck of Byron, MI, Arlene Hintermeister of Yuma, AZ, Opal Frederick of Breckenridge, MI, 1 brother: Darnell & Barbara Fletcher of Crestline, CA, and sisters-in-law; Myrna Fletcher, Lillian Fletcher, and Delores Fletcher. She is predeceased by her parents, brothers Guy, Delbert, William, Niles, and Jerry Fletcher, and sister Cora Buich..
